What caused my child to be autistic?
Here is the absolute best answer I have ever found to that question:
Heard something else and find yourself confused?
Here's why. What the media writes about (and what you see on Facebook) is what gets the most readers. Saying over and over again 'hey, it's still probably that thing we told you last year!' isn't exactly click bait, so it isn't what you'll see in the news. In fact, a reporter put together a graph comparing how often we talk about things as having caused autism, and how much science says it actually contributes to being on the spectrum. As you might imagine, there's a huge mismatch.
